I have been collecting toys since 1977, with the original Star Wars figures. I continued with them until the end of the line in 1985.
During that time, I had a few Masters of the Universe figures, but when G.I. Joe started up I was hooked until 1988, when I had the foolish idea I was too old for toys.
I also collected Transformers from 1984 to 1990, but a few GoBots snuck their way in.
I took a break for toys but continued to collect comic books of Transformers and G.I. Joe. I was a Marvel guy starting with Spiderman, when McFarlane was doing it, but stopped when Larsen took over.
I moved on to the X-men, in the Silvestri era, and also followed the original X-men in X-Factor.
It irritated me when they re-arranged the teams again and killed most of the long time villians. I quit Marvel entirely.
I heard about a new company called Valiant, and decided to give it a try. I liked it until just after Unity, and sold them all off.
Around that time, I decided to replace and add to my Star Wars collection. I grew frusrated with the poor specimens I found, and the scarcity, so I decided to give up.
I turned to replacing and adding to my G.I. Joe collection.
